A Quinta Da Auga
Santiago de Compostela, Spain
Stylish interior • Inspiring design • Perfect for proposals
Once an old-world paper mill, the A Quinta da Auga is now among Santiago de Compostela’s most exclusive hotels. The charming architectural design of this Relais & Châteaux member hotel entails ivy-clad walls topped with an elegant terracotta roof. Guests can explore the pristine exterior estate, feast on delectable Galician cuisine, or unwind in the glass-domed spa. History and luxury have never been within such easy reach.

Location

Located in Santiago de Compostela, Galicia, A Quinta da Auga is a luxury hotel that reminds images of old Spain. The traditional life is seen all around the place, including the nearby Camini de Santiago, a network of pilgrimage routes known as the Way of St James. Ancient canals are strewn all over the estate, reflecting its past as a paper mill centuries ago.

Rooms & Suites

A Quinta da Agua has double classic rooms decorated with old stone and aged wood, creating a rustic atmosphere. Luxuries such as marble bathrooms and Egyptian cotton covers give a touch of elegance to the rooms. Amenities include complimentary Wi-Fi, minibars, room service, safe deposit boxes, and laundry services. Wide windows provide uninterrupted views of the adjacent countryside.

The luxury hotel also has several suites, each having a floor area of 110 m2. Each suite has bedrooms separate from the living area as well as king-sized beds. A Jacuzzi is also placed in each bathroom, and all suite areas are decorated with a wide variety of antiques and treasures.

If you want to host events, the luxury hotel also offers several meeting rooms, including the Hall of the Fireplace and the cafeteria. Meeting rooms are fully furnished with equipment for conferences and other corporate events. Rooms also connect to terraces and gardens, offering a reinvigorating experience before or after the event.

Spa & Wellness

The spa of A Quinta da Agua is one of the most renowned relaxation facilities in Galicia. Its highlight includes the spa circuit, which offers a swimming pool, a hydrothermal pool, a sauna and steam bath, aromatherapy showers, hot tubs, and an ice fountain. The spa circuit is located on the top floor of the hotel, with a glass roof and wide windows which welcomes the refreshing sunlight.

The hotel also features a flotarium, a saline pool modeled after the Dead Sea which patrons describe as like floating in zero gravity. There is also a private spa if you want to relax in complete privacy. All bookings come with one access pass to the spa circuit, good for a 90-minute session per person.

Food & Drink

The Filigrana Restaurant is the flagship restaurant of A Quinta da Agua. Renowned throughout Spain, the restaurant serves traditional Galician cuisine using the finest locally-sourced products. You can dine on menus featuring Atlantic seafood, meats from the local mountaintops, and orchard vegetables that distinguish Spanish cuisine from the rest of the world. For a lighter experience, the QCAFÉbar serves light snacks such as churros and cakes, as well as coffees and teas. You can also get handmade sweets and other sweet delicacies here.

Special Info

The hotel holds a garden party at El Patio de A Quinta every Thursdays and Fridays during summer. You can enjoy cocktails and "tapas" or local snacks, while partying to the music of DJLojo.
